Fondazione Rovati Art Museum Platform

The Fondazione Luigi Rovati Museum is an innovative project designed by Dotdotdot, aimed at providing a cutting-edge, data-driven museum experience. This system integrates data, technology, and design to enhance the user experience for both visitors and staff. The digital infrastructure includes a location-based audio guide, interconnected back-office systems, and a seamless technological setup to monitor and innovate the museum's offerings. Visitors receive automatic audio content without needing manual inputs, and they can interact with additional content using their devices, ensuring an engaging and informative visit. The back-office system offers robust features, including a content management system (CMS) and a dashboard to analyze visitor data such as time spent in each room and audio content engagement. This platform also integrates APIs to connect with other systems like ticketing and supports customized accessibility features for visitors with special needs. Collaborations with Mario Cucinella Architects and Goppion ensure a successful experience, with a precise setup of beacons and custom hardware solutions, particularly for the hypogeum floor. The project has been recognized with a Gold iF DESIGN AWARD 2024 in the Service Design section.
